"We preach Christ Crucified and the full truth of His Word"
Pastor Tobin Pederson was called to be the minister of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church toward the end of 2005. He began preaching and serving the congregation in December of the same year. Before entering the seminary, he received a Bachelors of Science from Iowa State University (December 1991). As the desire to serve the Lord as a minister had been with him for many years, he entered the LCR seminary, January of 1992. He graduated in May, 1995. This LCR seminary is yet located in Decatur, Indiana, appropriately named the Martin Luther Institute of Sacred Studies. Pastor Pederson studied under Pastor Sheldon Twenge (Dean of the seminary at that time) and also Pastor Kenneth Miller. Both of these beloved teachers have entered their eternal reward. For a few years Pastor Tobin Pederson served a small congregation near Hudson, Michigan (Emmaus Lutheran Church). His second congregation is Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, of Corcoran, Minnesota. While serving his first congregation, the Lord blessed Pastor with a beloved wife (Anna), and the Lord blessed them also with a precious daughter in 2004. Regarding ministers and the ministry, we rejoice in the blessed words of the Apostle Paul, Second Corinthians 4:5-6. "For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."
